A copy of your letter to the old school, if you send one. The home school law only says your child is taught at home by a parent. It lists no letter. The copy shows you sent it.

2. Schoolwork samples and curriculum list

Keep.: Samples of schoolwork and a list of the books you used. The home school law only says your child is taught at home by a parent. It lists no records to keep. They show what your child learned if anyone asks.

3. Shot record or exemption form

Keep.: Your child's shot record, or a state exemption form. Alaska law does not ask you to file it to homeschool. A school, child care or school team may ask for it later.
